Brandon and I thought it would be a fun time of year to take the kids to Hawaii. We are going on Tuesday and we are all super excited! Cute Caleb has been marking the days off of his calender to the big day. He asks me about 5 times a day,"Is it time to go on the airplane ride yet?" It's fun to see him so excited! We took him about 2 years ago and he remembers a little bit of it but, I think he is more anxious to go on the plane ride. Thank goodness for our frequent flyer miles B racked up on all of his business trips, we are all able to fly free! Our flight is non-stop and only 60% of the plane is full. How lucky are we? I can just let Caleb roam around and let Izzy stretch out and sleep. I think that's what I am most excited about! Anyway, my question is what are some fun plane activities I can get for my kids on this long flight? If you have any suggestions, shoot them my way!

My Future Missionary!
So I have the cutest little 4 year old in the world! We wanted to start teaching Caleb about the scriptures to help prepare him for primary. About a month ago we went and bought this illistrated version of the book of mormon for him. I wasn't sure if he would really like it or even get bored of it. Anyway, we were pleasently surprised! He wants us to read it to him every night! He can even tell us the stories in his own words! He is so fascinated by the picture of the Book of Mormon that was found in one of the stories that he wanted one for himself. Fortunately, Brandon had an extra missionary one that he gave Caleb. We wrote his name in it and told him that it's a very special book. We told him how to take care of it and how to treat it. After B gave him that Book of Mormon, Caleb wants to sleep with it every night. So, he not only sleeps with his favorite blanket but also his own scriptures and the illistrated BOM stories. He is so excited to learn about the gospel! Last night I was reading him the stories for 45 minutes! He would've kept going but, it was getting late. He is going to be a wonderful missionary someday. This has been such a learning experience for us! We underestimated how smart kids are! This experience has brought a greater focus to our family of the importance of having family home evening, family prayer, and scripture study.
I thought this was a cute picture. I wanted to take a picture of his "Valentine Bear" that he made at school and he insisted on having his Book of Mormon in the picture too. How Cute is that?
"And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up." Deuteronomy 6:7

Still Under the Weather
A Pontiac Grand AM! We laughed because he said it makes him feel like a rocker in this car. This isn't the exact picture but similar. It was either this car or a mini van. We didn't need a huge van so he's stuck with this for a week. He can't wait until he gets his precious car back!

A Day At The Dinosaur Museum
Today I took the kids to the Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point. We had never been there before so we thought we'd check it out. The kids had a fun time looking at all of the fossils and dinosaur bones that were on display. Caleb carried around his favorite map of the museum and led us through it. These are some things we saw and did.
Izzy loved crawling through this little tunnel! It was dark in there but she had no fear. She didn't want to miss out.
There are alot of fun displays of animals fossils and bones. Caleb thought this shark had "crazy and scary" teeth. He wanted me to assure him that the shark wasn't real.
There is a fun water and sand adventure that Caleb loved. You dig in the wet sand and look for buried dinosaurs.
Caleb looks so little standing next to this enormous creature!
Caleb soon got bored of all of the brushing so he decided to make "Sand Angles" instead

A Lonely Valentine's Day
Well, I hope you all have had a fun Valentine's Day with your cute hubbys! I'm home alone again because B is on another business trip, this time to St. Thomas. So let me tell you how my day has gone. I shoveled a rediculous amount of snow AGAIN! This time it was another 2 feet and it took me 2 hours to do my driveway and sidewalks. I'm getting used to shoveling. I don't mind doing it. It's good exercise but I'll really feel it tomorrow! I saw people getting flowers from their hubby's. I'm sad! Well, I did celebrate it with leftover spaghetti from last night and a sick baby. What more could you ask for? Anyway, he gets home tomorrow and that should be the end of the trips for a while. Hopefully!
I thought I should take a moment and tell you about my wonderful husband. Brandon is the most amazing person that I have ever met! He is so motivated to suceed in every aspect of his life! He takes his ward mission leader calling very serious! He is so determined to help those people in our ward boundaries understand and accept the gospel. He is such a great friend to everyone he meets! He is always willing to help anyone out whenever he can! He's very bright and extremely smart! I appreciate the sacrifices he's made to provide a good life for our family. I love how I can talk to him about anything! He is so patient even when I am a brat & sometimes complain when I don't get my way. He has such a love for Caleb and Isabel. I love watching him with our kids! They love him so much! They get so excited when daddy walks through the door each day! I look up to him and admire him for the man that he is! He is my better half and he completes me! I can't imagine my life without him! I'm so grateful that I will be with him for time and all eternity! I could go on forever about this amazing man but, I won't bore you anymore by bragging about how lucky I am!
Even though I am alone this Valentine's Day, I feel his love from 5,000 miles away. I know that he wishes that he could be here with me. At least we have forever to be together! A special holiday like this won't hurt us to be apart from each other. Here are some fun pictues of us. We don't have alot of pictures of us together but, here are a few that I found.

What Color Are You?
Your color is black. The color of night. Serene and mysterious, black conjures up images of elegant evening gowns, dashing tuxedos, and gleaming limousines. Traditionally a symbol of success, black also represents power and an uncompromising demand for perfection. Not surprisingly, you tend to set challenging goals for yourself and do whatever it takes to achieve them — your strength of character is second to none. This unfaltering determination, along with your natural elegance, impresses people. But keep in mind that your personality might be intimidating to some. Try to temper your demanding side with a little softness — trust us, it won't kill you. Overall, though, black is the color of professionalism and achievement, which means it's clearly the color for you.

Welcome To The Life Of Blogging!
Last night during the superbowl I setup blogs for my sisters Jodi and Tiffany. It will be fun to have 4/5 sisters in the blogging world. I just need to keep talking my oldest sister Kim into actually getting the internet first then I can help her too. I just love blogging don't you? It's such a fun way to keep in touch with friends and family. I really love how I can see what my sister Heidi in Los Angelas is doing and how her cute kids are growing up. Thanks so much for all of you sweet comments that you have left for me. I feel like I am talking to you all face to face. The question is, now that I have gotten my sisters started with their blogs will they actually be loyal bloggers so the rest of us can keep up with their family happenings? We'll see!

Another Run of Bad Luck!
Last night we had another issue with Brandon's car only this time it's a really big deal! We had just left Hollywood Video and we were talking about how frustrated we are about what happened to his side mirror of his car when something unbelievable happened to us. A girl on her cell phone pulled out in the parking lot and hit Brandon's car on the back passenger door bashing it all the way in. She was leaving JoAnne's Fabric store and rammed into us. She was only going about 5 mph but it did enough damage to our car and of course nothing happened to her car except a broken license plate.
Can you believe our luck with this car? First the mirror, then getting stuck on the stupid ice patch in our driveway, and now an accident. Keep in mind that we have only had this car for a month. You can only imagine how upset B was when this happened after all that we had been through already. The poor girl, Dixie, just kept crying and apologizing to us. She was only about 22 yrs. and she had her two little kids in the back seat too. She was probably going to the fabric store to get stuff to make a blanket or something. I felt bad for her cause B was pretty upset. Before we left B went and talked to her apologizing about being so upset and how he just bought the car. I'm sure she felt so bad cause I wouldn't want to be the one to hit someone else's car.
When we drove away we were talking about how we are so lucky that this didn't happen at a high speed. She hit Isabel's door and it could've been a really scary situation! These things happen I guess. I just can't believe all of this. So there is a lesson to be learned about driving and that is:
DON'T TALK AND DRIVE!!!!!

Out With The Girls

A couple of days ago my mom had a fun idea to get all of the sisters together and have a girls night out. I always look forward to these! So, we left the kids home with our hubbys and left all of our worrys behind and spent a fun night together. We went to one of my favorite restaurants, The Olive Garden. It was fun to talk and catch up on things. It seems like we never have enough time or it's hard when the kids are around to talk so these nights are really special to all of us!
