Thank Goodness For Tax Returns!

For quite a while we have been wanting to get a few things for our house. The main thing has been a new TV and entertainment center for our family room. On Saturday we went to good old RC Willey and bought them. We got it delivered today and it's so nice! Before we had a 36' big, fat TV in a huge, cheap entertainment stand that was very out dated. The one we bought is a Samsung 50" flat screen plasma HD. We're excited about it. The picture is great! We are having to get a new HD/DVR receiver for it too. I don't know much about TVs but I heard that it will make the picture look amazing with the new receiver. I am REALLY excited about the DVR. I am looking forward to recording my favorite shows. I hope this doesn't make me watch too much TV by having the DVR. Anyway, thank goodness for tax returns cause we feel like we can justify this purchase knowing that money is coming back to us! Fun changes!

Yay! Our poor TV is on the verge of pooping out. Not sure what we'll do then! I guess it's sad to say it's from all of the TV that we watch around here!

I LOVE DVR!!! You will for sure watch more tv. I was just telling Danny that we are watching more junk. We never really got into any shows but now we are watching every Dateline, Batchlor, AI, Dancing w/the Stars ect... Its nice to record the Jazz then turn it on 30 min ater and you can ff through comm.

Good for you! How fun. And now with a DVR you can watch both Biggest Loser & AI. That's how I manage my Tuesday nights b/c I wouldn't miss either. Lets have a party one week. We can switch back & forth watching both. Not tonight, but how about next week??

Amy, We have a plasma with a built in DVR as well and It is a life saver. I can watch my shows when the kids go to bed. Also I set the TV to record my kids favorite shows in the early morning hours so when they come in from playing outside and I am making dinner they can watch their favorite shows. It is great!! You are going to LOVE IT.

I just finished looking at all of your Hawaii pictures...so fun! What a great family trip!

Also, congrats on the new TV! I know how you feel...we still have the same crappy little TV we got as a wedding present. No wonder we haven't seen any TV for almost 5 years!
