The Police Concert!!!

Back in February we bought tickets to The Police concert last Saturday night. The tickets were $120 each! I have to admit I was a little hesitant on buying them. Now we can say that, believe it or not, that money was WELL SPENT! The concert was amazing! This was the reunion tour for the The Police. They haven't toured together for years. This concert was extra special because "Sting" (lead singer) says they will not be touring together again. The concert was out at USANA Amphitheater and they sounded awesome! Here are some pictures of the fun night we had been looking forward to for 5 months. My pictures and video aren't perfectly clear but, you get the idea. So, just sit back, relax, and pretend like you were with us! Enjoy!

We went with Brandon's sister Tori and our nephew Parker. Tori took us to dinner at Olive Garden for B's 32 birthday before the concert. Thanks Tori!

Tori and Parker waiting for The Police

Elvis Costello opened for the The Police. Here is the Sting and Elvis Costello singing a song together.

We had good seats but not close enough to get an actual picture of Sting. This picture is from the big screen.

Parker, Brandon, and Me

For these next two videos, pause my music on the side so you can hear the video

I took a lot of video and this one was the best one. Sorry if it's kind of shaky! B told me that I was dancing and singing the entire time I was recording.

In this video you can't see anything but I am posting it because this is my favorite Police song and it still sounds great!

We had such a fun time! We loved being with B's sister and nephew. We also saw my sister Kim and her hubby Matt, and saw some old friends from our old ward. Even though we sat in 1 1/2 hours of traffic to get out, it was worth it! This will be a night that we will never forget! There is nothing like a summer night listening to your favorite band!
Thanks for hanging out with us Parker and Tori!

Family Dinner at Wheeler Farm

About once a month we try to get together with Brandon's family to have a family dinner. This month we went to wheeler farm. My kids love seeing the duck and birds there. It was fun to be with the family. Brandon's family is so much fun! I'm so happy to be part of their family!

During dinner Izzy spilled her drink down the front of her so she went topless the remainder of the time.

Sorry about the cut off head. She would never look at me. Isn't her belly cute?

Look how much Caleb has grown up! Left is this year, right is last year.
He loves it when Uncle Eric brings his scooter!

Grandpa chasing Izzy with his cane.

We love our family!

Draper Days

Every year we always look forward to going to Draper Days and enjoy the fun activities and fireworks. This year only Caleb and I went and met my parents there. Caleb had tonz of fun with all of the bounce houses, small train ride, and the parade.

He could jump on these bounce houses all day.

At the parade, Caleb filled his bag up with lots of yummy treats!

Caleb wanted me to take this picture of him.

Waiting in line

He couldn't wait to get on this little train that's made out of water drums and painted like animals. he looks forward to this especially!

Summer Fun!

Last night the weather was so perfect so we played outside for a while. Izzy thought that it would be fun to get in the pool without me knowing about it. While cleaning up after dinner Caleb yells to me," Mom, Izzy's in the pool!" I look outside and this is what I found. I laughed and had to take a picture. This is one of those times when you just have to say OH WELL and smile.

Caleb and his friends played cards on our back deck. I'm so glad he has cute friends to play with. He always has fun with the neighbors. We just love where we live!

Isn't this what summer is about?

Camping At Strawberry Reservoir, Well Not Really

Last night we went up to Strawberry Reservoir to meet up with Brandon's sister Tori, her kids, his mom, dad, and other family friends. We didn't exactly camp like most would do when they spend the night up there. Thank goodness B's parents wanted to stay in a hotel so we stayed with them. Brandon was quite happy about that because he is not a camper. We enjoyed a nice boat ride and saw deer on the mountainside next to the lake. It was beautiful and the weather was perfect! We didn't do any skiing or fishing, just took in the gorgeous scenery. The kids love being with their grandparents and cousins. It's always fun to get away for a couple of days.

Izzy loved Aunt Tori's boat!

Brandon's sister Tori

There's nothing like a boat ride on a summer evening!

Brandon's parents

Grandma kept Izzy safe as she held her tight on her lap

Flash thought the lake was the funnest place he had ever been! He hung out with his cousins who showed him how to catch crawdads with nets. He thought he was one of the big kids.
Just relaxing and enjoying the break from my kids. B's cute mom always takes my kids when we are together so I can relax. Thanks Myrna!
Watching the ducks in the water was Izzy's favorite thing about the lake.
She likes to yell at them.

Caleb loves to play with his dad!

This morning when Izzy woke up and saw the powdered doughnuts, she was so hungry she kept shoving them in her mouth. It was so cute!

We didn't stay and boat this afternoon but we had a great time. I hope that we plan to do this again next year! I didn't even stay long enough to get a tan. Oh well, Lake Powell is in 2 weeks and I will make up for it! Thanks so much Tori, Del, and Myrna for the fun weekend!

An Evening At The Temple

I am so grateful for all of the blessings that come from the temple! I am so happy for the knowledge of eternal families! B and I went to the Jordan River Temple with his mom, dad, sister and brother-in-law. We were finally able to complete the family files for Brandon's family. It was nice to be there as a family doing work for those who have passed on before us. I just love the wonderful spirit that I feel when I am serving in the temple.

A Day At The Museum

On Thursday I took the kids to the Discovery Gateway Museum. I have a family pass that I bought last summer and it expires so I wanted to squeeze in a few more times. I always go crazy with my camera when we go there because there are so many cute things that my kids do and I have to capture those memories. Here are a few of the 30+ that I took in just one afternoon. Enjoy!

Izzy loves these rockers! She was a little possessive whenever other kids tried to get on it. Believe it or not she would hit them to keep away from her stuff.

My little "Flash" the firefighter/policeman

It's so fun to make music and where a fireman's hat!

Look how much Caleb has grown since last November!

Future news journalists

I just love the cute classes that are offered. Here Caleb learned where orange juice and lemonade comes from. He even got to make some all by himself.

Look how big Izzy is now since last November! In this picture on the right she learned how to climb up stairs at the Children's Museum. Look at her now!

The little playhouse inside of a tree house was one of Izzy's favorite places to hang out

I love my little lifesaver!

A Long Day At IKEA!

What a long day but a fun day except for loosing Izzy's sandals at IKEA! Now all of you who have been there know how enormous that place is and just the thought of loosing something there is exhausting. I went with my mom and my sisters to IKEA today. It was fun to get together like it always is. Well, after being there for over an hour, we were about to walk out and I noticed that Izzy took her sandals off. I was so tired and I didn't want to attempt to walk through that entire store looking for $12 sandals. But, of course I had to cause I'm too cheap to just forget about it. Anyway, I searched that entire store and asked every employee if they had seen them but no luck. So after all of that I still walked away with no sandals. Doesn't it just drive you crazy when kids take their shoes off?

Happy 4th of July!

I love the 4th of July holiday! It's one of my favorite holidays of the year! I love spending time with my cute family and watching the kids faces as they watch the fireworks. The fun traditions in my family make the holiday so memorable! Here is how we spent our 4th of July holiday.

We started our day doing lots of yard work. We really enjoy making our yard look nice! I even got B up on a tall ladder to clean some windows too.

For lunch we ate at our favorite Mexican restaurant Cafe Rio. Yum!!!

Sweet Izzy!

Later, Caleb and I left B and Izzy home to freshen up for the fireworks with a nice nap. We went to the big 4th of July celebration up here on Traverse Mountain. They had lots of fun bounce houses, games, giant movie screen, and a BBQ.

Caleb loves these fun bounce slides!

We went over to Jodi's house and had a fun swimming and BBQ party. She has such a fun house! My kids look forward to spending time there with their cousins.

Izzy ready to swim!

For about 3 weeks all that I have heard around my house from Caleb is, "Is it time for fireworks yet?" He was so happy that it was finally time to light the fireworks! He loved choosing the pack of fireworks to take to the party. He thinks it's pretty cool to have two days to light fireworks.

He waited patiently for the fireworks to begin!

Once the fireworks began, Caleb was no where to be found. I went to look for him and he was sitting inside the house with the door open watching from the doorway. He's still a gets a bit nervous.

My cute mom bought all of the kids these cute lei's and little flags.

I love this cute picture! Daddy's little angel!

Fun family time!

After the fireworks at Jodi's we went to Sandy City and watched the giant firework show. It was nice to spend time with my Grandma Jeanne too. What a fun day!

We enjoyed a wonderful day with my family. I don't want to forget to mention how grateful we are for the freedom that we enjoy in this country. We feel so blessed to live in this amazing land! Thank you to all of those who have sacrificed so much for our country!

God Bess America!
