We found a house in Sandy that we absolutely just love! My only frustration is that it is a short sale. it just got listed two days ago and we are putting an offer in on it on Monday. My quesion is, has anyone ever delt with a short sale before? How long of a process are we looking at? I hate getting everything figured out the traditional way. However, if we get this, it will be a steal and we will raise our kids there. Tell me your short sale stories!

We short sold our home.... they got a steal of a deal. They put the offer in and it closed about two months later. The bank just had to approve our packet, which we were on top of, so I guess it depends on that maybe. Good luck!!
can take a couple of months. my dad did a short sale on the condo you stayed at with me and it took about 6 weeks, but he was a cash buyer. the people that lived in the guys house by the park did a short sale and it took them about 6 months. guess it depends on who you are dealing with. good luck! I'd bet on at least two though...I want to see it! congrats!
Hey guys! You baby is so darn cute! She is a doll! I've been working a ton with short sales on the buyer and seller side. The shortest one where I represented a buyer was 7 weeks. The longest one is closing this month after 9 months! Crazy. Average is 3-4 months. Good luck-hope you are doing great!
